Entitled Enabler of sustainable welfare in society, this sustainability agenda focuses on our business operations and the impact achieved through them.
The agenda is built around two main themes: driver of the green transition and foundation of the Finnish welfare society. In line with these themes, our goal is to to promote investments that are friendly for the climate and environment and support the development of a sustainable welfare society.
Our goal is for our work to support the Finnish welfare society and accelerate the green transition. The second of its kind, this sustainability agenda sets out the sustainability themes, targets and measures through which we promote and monitor sustainability. We are committed to doing our best to achieve these goals. We will describe this work in our reports.

Sustainability agenda goals
- Sustainable finance accounts for 50% of our long-term customer financing by 2035.
- By 2035, the emission intensity of municipal budget loans is reduced by 50% from the 2023 level.
- By 2035, the emission intensity of our portfolio is reduced by 71% for residential buildings and 73.5% for other buildings, compared to the 2023 baseline.
